The celebration continues for the centennial year of Philippine cinema!
Just yesterday, September 8, several Kapamilya singers gave their rendition of the theme songs of some of the greatest and most iconic films in the country during the live episode of the musical variety show "ASAP Natin 'To."
Gary Valenciano and Kyla first performed "Sana Maulit Muli," the official theme song of the film with the same name which stars Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach.
Meanwhile, "Dahil Sa'yo," which was from the 1938 movie "Bituing Marikit," was sang by Ogie Alcasid and Klarisse de Guzman.
Erik Santos and Moira dela Torre, on the other hand, serenaded the audience with "Kung 'Di Rin Lang Ikaw," one of the official soundtracks of the romantic drama flick "Hello, Love, Goodbye," starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, and is now the highest grossing film in the country.
Versions of "Tayong Dalawa," "Hanggang sa Dulong Walang Hanggan," and "Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan" were also given by Bugoy Drilon and Angeline Quinto, Jason Dy and Sarah Geronimo, and Jed Madela and Morissette Amon, respectively.
For the finale, Regine Velasquez and Piolo Pascual performed "Kastilyong Buhangin," the song from the film of the same title which was released in 1980.
Just recently, the Film Development Council of the Philippines shared the final details for their upcoming Sine Sandaan event this week, which is expected to gather and recognize over 300 luminaries of the local movie industry.
The event will also be made possible through the help of its partners, including ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Films.
