Mariko Ledesma, one of the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" grand finalists, has officially backed out from the competition.
The finalist took to Facebook last September 21, to explain her decision to quit just a few days before the show's Final Resbak week. According to Mariko, she cannot continue further after receiving a lot of bashing from netizens over her controversial win against "resbaker" Mariane Osabel.

Mariko was then replaced by Kim Nemenzo, after garnering the highest votes from the madlang people.
Kim will then compete against Shaina Mae Allaga, Charizze Arnigo, Violeta Bayawa, Rafaello Canedo, Julius Cawaling, John Michael Dela Cerna, Elaine Duran, Ranillo Enriquez, Jonas Onate, and John Mark Saga in the upcoming “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand finals this September 28.
The lucky finalist who will be hailed as the grand champion will bring home a brand new house and lot, a livelihood package, a family vacation package, a management contract with ABS-CBN, a recording contract under TNT Records, and 2 million cash prize.
