‘Wildflower’ gets nominated at the first Asia Contents Awards

“Wildflower” is the only Philippine entry to be nominated for this year’s event.

‘Wildflower’ gets nominated at the first Asia Contents Awards

“Wildflower” has just been nominated in the first ever Asia Contents Awards, the only Philippine series to enter the award-giving body.

In a press release made by ABS-CBN today, September 19, it was announced that the hit primetime drama led by Maja Salvador is nominated in the Best Asian Drama category, and will be competing against other outstanding entries from Asian countries, including South Korea China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia.

The said event, which aims to recognize the best TV drama that are produced in Asia, is organized by the renowned Busan International Film Festival and the Asian Film Market. Its awarding ceremonies will be held in Busan, South Korea on October 6.

Two years after premiering on ABS-CBN in 2017, the program has already made waves in different countries worldwide through the network’s international distribution efforts. It is currently airing in several French-speaking countries, including Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Reunion, and is set to premiere in Madagascar in October.

During its original run, the series hit record-breaking TV ratings which was attributed to its good story line, excellent cast and cinematography, and its advocacies.
