Kathryn Bernardo, prepared to become an OFW advocate!

“Hello, Love, Goodbye” lead star Kathryn Bernardo is planning to become an advocate for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)!

In a report by ABS-CBN News yesterday, August 8, the actress recalled all the hardships she saw her fellow Filipinos face working abroad during her immersion exercises as she prepared for her role as Joy in the new Cathy Garcia-Molina movie.

“Tinry ko po talaga na mabuhay ng katulad nila and napakahirap. Kaya sabi ko nga after ng experience na ito, parang nabuo ako,” she shared.

Kathryn admitted that this project changed her outlook in life. It also prompted her to want to assist Filipinos overseas who are in need.

“Tinitingnan ko 'yung mga Pinoy parang masaya sila. Mayroon din pong TFC sa Hong Kong so mayroong contact doon, so willing kami tumulong basta kung ano po 'yung pinaka-kailangan nila,” the actress stated.

This isn’t the first time that the actress has extended a helping hand towards her kababayans. For the past few years, Kathryn has been taking part in charitable activities organized by both government and non-government agencies, together with her real-life partner Daniel Padilla.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which also stars Alden Richards and is helmed by Blockbuster Director Cathy Garcia-Molina, has already reached the 300-million mark in the box office, earning P319,429,863.44 just one week after it premiered in the Philippines.

The film also stars Maymay Entrata, Jameson Blake, Joross Gamboa, Kakai Bautista, Lovely Abella, Jeff Tam, and Anthony Jennings.

It is showing in theaters nationwide and is now being screened in Singapore and Middle Eastern countries, with more international screenings following soon in European and Asian nations.
