Two hit Kapamilya primetime series are now being aired in Myanmar!
According to a press release made by ABS-CBN last Tuesday, August 6, two programs including the 2018 drama “Ngayon at Kailanman,” with the international title “Now and Forever,” and the still on-going series “The General’s Daughter,” are now being aired in the Asian country.
ABS-CBN’s footprint expansion in the international market continues to gain strength as two of its hit primetime teleseryes—’The General’s Daughter’ and ‘Ngayon at Kailanman’—have been acquired by Sky Net International Drama Channel for airing in Myanmar,” it read.
Ngayon at Kailanman,” which stars Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, premiered on Sky Net last June 24, while “The General’s Daughter,” which is topbilled by Angel Locsin, started making waves on the air last Sunday, August 4.
The said programs were also subtitled in Burmese to suit the audience.
Just this year, select Kapamilya shows have started airing in several countries worldwide.
Pangako Sa’Yo” premiered in the Dominican Republic, “Halik” in Tanzania, “Forevermore” in Thailand, and “The Blood Sisters” in Kazakhstan.
ABS-CBN also entered into a co-production agreement with Limon Yapin in Turkey for “Hanggang Saan,” while the hit noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” also had its franchise version in Indonesia.
