90s matinee idol Diether Ocampo has reached another milestone in life!
The actor is now servicing the Filipino people after joining the ranks of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Lieutenant Commander.
A fanpage dedicated to the actor shared photos from his indoctrination ceremonies held last February, where he was joined by officials and members of the auxiliary, which is a civilian support group of the Philippine Coast Guard.
Since then, Diether has been participating in several activities held by the organization, including orientations, conventions, trainings and seminars, and outreach activities.
Last June, the actor added yet another feather to his cap after undergoing and completing the seafarer’s training conducted by the Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (Philcamsat).
In a Facebook video entitled “Sea of Stories,” Diether, who has always been a maritime advocate, shared the realizations that made him decide to pursue further education to be a seafarer.
“Paano nga ba maging isang marino? Mahirap ba o madali?
Before taking on a new career path, Diether became a part of the 2018 drama fantasy series “Bagani.”
He also starred in different films, including the 2012 romantic comedy “24/7 in Love,” and the 2010 suspense horror picture “Dalaw.”
We’re so happy for you, Diether!
