You’ve probably watched “Hello, Love, Goodbye” by now, but there are still a lot of fun facts in store just for you!
Just yesterday, August 21, Star Cinema producer Leo Garcia once again shared trivia about the blockbuster hit.
Fun Fact Number 1: Did you know that the scene when Joy (Kathryn Bernardo) and Ethan (Alden Richards) wanted to “stop the time” was actually a marker shot? (For non-movie buffs, a marker shot is a sequence that is a turning point of the whole film.)
Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina actually set a fast-pace for the production so the entire film could be shot in Hong Kong, and all the shots from the start of the film right until that “stop the time” scene were either moving or handheld shots. We only got to see steady shots afterward.
The said scene was also shot on their third shooting day due to logistical concerns.
Fun Fact Number 2: There was actually a scene where Ethan and Joy would cross paths even before their actual meeting. It was supposed to show that destiny was playing its role in their love story. Unfortunately, the sequence was edited out during the post-production process. (Still, we hope to see it in the future. Sana.)
Fun Fact Number 3: Did you know that the iconic rooftop scene was not really a part of the original script? The shoot in Hong Kong was about to end, but Direk Cathy pushed with an idea to film more scenes. With the help of the whole production team, they were able to create one of the best sequences on the film.
