The main cast of the upcoming Kapamilya series “A Soldier’s Heart” has started their preparations for the show!
The program’s cast members, which include Gerald Anderson, Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, Nash Aguas, and Yves Flores, recently completed a short training course under the Philippine Army at Camp Tecson in Bulacan.
In separate Instagram posts, Gerald, Jerome, Nash, and Yves shared their experiences after the three-day military training.
Gerald described it as some of the most difficult days he has had in his life, saying that they were pushed beyond their limits.
We were pushed physically and mentally beyond our limits. Being the company commander taught me how to lead other people, but most importantly, how to lead myself and stay composed despite any situation. [We got] only two hours of sleep for three days, more or less 10 seconds to eat our meals, [and] sometimes eating [while] naka-dapa sa putikan.”
That teaches you a lot: patience, gratitude, and appreciation for even the small stuff,” he continued.
Jerome, meanwhile, thanked the members of the military for the experience and for their efforts to protect the freedom of our country.
On the other hand, Nash shared that he nearly quit training during his first night but decided to continue on after realizing the real efforts of military men.
Lastly, Yves quoted author Edmond Mbiaka in his post, writing, “The strength of your mind determines the quality of your life.”
A Soldier’s Heart,” which was originally entitled “Take Life,” was first presented to advertisers during ABS-CBN’s annual trade launch last July 23.
Details on the program, including its full cast and premiere date, are yet to be announced.
