Paulo Avelino opens up about depression: ‘No one really knew’

Paulo Avelino, who's known for his hilarious hugots on Twitter, took a break from his witty posts to talk about a serious matter—mental health.

The "The General's Daughter" actor shared his thoughts about something he's long been keeping private in a Twitter thread earlier today, August 1.

Paulo revealed that he is grieving the death of his "go-to" person and close friend, who recently committed suicide.

He then revealed how he would often bombard that friend with messages whenever he feels "low," and how his friend was always there for him.

Paulo then confessed that his thread had one purpose: to save a life of someone, anyone, who is going through a tough time in terms of mental health.

May Paulo's Twitter thread send awareness to everyone who's going through the same situation. 🙏

Paulo topbilled the 2018 romantic-drama "Kasal" alongside Bea Alonzo and Derek Ramsay. He is currently seen in the primetime series "The General's Daughter."
