Liza Soberano has successfully undergone fusion surgery to treat her fractured finger.
In an Instagram post made today, July 6, the actress shared x-ray photos of her finger, saying that the operation would be the last.
“Finally done with my last procedure in hopes of fixing my finger. Unfortunately it will never function the same way again but at least it’s there! 😅,” she wrote.
According to a report of ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe last night, July 5, a bone was taken from Liza’s hip to replace the dead one on her finger.
Doctors have said that Liza will need at least two weeks to recover from the operation, depending on how the wounds will heal. Then and only then will she be allowed to return to the country.
It may be recalled that Liza sustained the finger injury while taping the fantaserye “Bagani.”
She underwent her first operation last May, but needed to stay in the U.S. after doctors discovered a bone infection which prevented them from removing the plates on her finger.
Upon her return to the country, Liza is expected to start preparations for her upcoming projects with on-and-off-screen partner Enrique Gil, including a film and teleserye.
