Vice Ganda has finally revealed the reason for his absence from “It’s Showtime.” He was hospitalized for a few days after suffering from diarrhea and vomiting.
In a tweet yesterday, July 3, the comedian expressed his gratitude to the medical staff who assisted him while he was admitted in the hospital.
“Thank you very much to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of The Medical City for taking good care of me for three days. Ang babait at ang aliwalas niyo. God bless you guys! Uwian na!” he wrote.
Vice’s sister Dr. Tina Viceral, commented on talent manager Ogie Diaz’ Facebook post last July 2 that her brother needed some time off to recover.
During the live telecast of “It’s Showtime” last Saturday, June 29, Vice shared that he had been feeling sick for a while now but chose to attend to his scheduled appearances, including the live shows of “Idol Philippines."
Meanwhile, on his Instagram Stories, Kuya Escort Ion Perez shared a photo of him with fellow “It’s Showtime” host Ryan Bang, spending time inside what looks like a hospital room. Although it was unclear whether they were visiting Vice, the post still went viral online.
Vice led the 2018 blockbuster hit “Fantastica,” Star Cinema’s entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival. He also hosts his own weekly comedy show, “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
Get well soon, Vice!
