THROWBACK: Julia Montes, John Manalo recall their 'Goin' Bulilit' days

Julia Montes and John Manalo couldn't help but feel emotional as "Goin' Bulilit" announced the end of its 14-year run.

The two stars took to their respective Instagram accounts to pay tribute to the show that started it all for them. Last July 26, Julia shared her very own #KwentongBulilit and recalled how Direk Bobot Mortiz gave her a chance in spite of her camera shyness.

"Dito ako nagsimulang mangarap, nabigyan ng pamilya, at mabigyan ng pagkakataon. Utang ko sa show na ito ang lahat lalung-lalo na sa Mortiz family," she wrote.

She continued, "Ang unang pamilyang tumanggap kay 'Mara' on-and-off cam.

John, who was also part of the pioneer batch, opened up about his own experiences last July 27.

The actor also recalled how the show opened doors to different opportunities which eventually made him he is today.

"Goin' Bulilit" is down to its last week. Its finale episode will air on August 4.
