Kathryn Bernardo bagged the Best Actress Award at the 35th PMPC Star Awards for Movies for her work in the worldwide blockbuster hit “The Hows of Us” and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about her acceptance speech since.

Full of hope, full of confidence, the actress showed a more mature side that we’ve only ever seen in tiny moments before. Now she stands tall and proud as she honors the world’s biggest dreamers through her much-deserved award. If you want to read the transcript of her speech, you can do so here:

“Thank you Star Cinema for giving us this beautiful film, Inang (Olivia Lamasan) maraming salamat for the trust, Direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) thank you for always pushing me to do my best. My love [Daniel Padilla], alam niyo hindi ko mabibigay 'yung hinihingi kay George kung wala 'yung tulong ni DJ. Thank you, love, for that.”

“Alam niyo, I was really in a point in my career wherein I started questioning my capacity as an actress. Alam ko, most of you, alam 'yung story na 'yun and I questioned myself for things [that] weren't working out when I wanted [them] to. Bakit binigay mo lahat, pero bakit ganyan? Ang dami kong ‘why's’ last year before we shot ‘The Hows of Us.’”

“Ang pinaka baon na natutunan ko siguro while making this film, and 'yung [tinuro] sa akin ng Universe is that life is not perfect, it doesn't always go the way you want it to, and itong award na 'to, this is a validation that true dedication really does pay off. At napatunayan ko na na it's okay to not be okay sometimes, it's okay to get tired in the process, it's okay to fail kasi lahat 'yan parte ng journey natin. What's important is that you stand up and you try again, until you make your dreams into a reality. So shine-share ko 'tong award na 'to sa lahat ng mga nangagarap, lahat ng andito ngayon, lahat ng nanonood, it's okay to dream big! Ang importante is that you try and try again, kahit mag-fail ka, just try again. And always remember that you'll always have a shot in making that dream come true.”
