Robin Padilla is set to join the Philippine military as a reservist.
The action star made the announcement on his Instagram last June 2, as he assures the Filipino youth that he'll be with them in every step of the way. Robin is known to be an active advocate of passing the bill that requires Senior High students to take the ROTC.
In the latter part of his post, Robin also encouraged the youth to stand for the country and our fellowmen through joining the military.
Mabuhay ang Katipunan!" he added.
Robin is the next major celebrity to join the Philippine armed forces. Actor Matteo Guidicelli also became an Army reservist last April to show his strong patriotism for the country. He is currently training with the Scout Rangers in Bulacan.
Robin's last big screen outing was the 2017 rom-com "Unexpectedly Yours" with Sharon Cuneta, Joshua Garcia, and Julia Barretto.
