ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Cory V. Vidanes was recognized by MEGA with a New PH Award for her years of leadership, achievements and contributions to the media industry.

During the 2019 MEGA #NewPH Awards held last June 12, Tita Cory, as she is fondly called by the people from the network, accepted the recognition and acknowledged the Filipino people for being the source of inspiration behind ABS-CBN’s success for over 65 years.

“Thank you to the Filipinos whose stories continue to inspire us to create excellent and meaningful content that give hope, empowerment, and love,” she stated.

Tita Cory, who started her career as a production assistant, remains passionate about producing excellent shows that connect Filipinos, upholding ABS-CBN’s mission of being in the service of the Filipino worldwide.

“Creating excellent programs is a passion. To give Filipino talent an opportunity to take center stage and make their dreams a reality is fulfilling. Connecting the Filipinos worldwide to home through our content and experiences is both empowering and humbling,” she continued.

ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic, which is celebrating its 27th anniversary, was also commended for defining generations of showbiz talent, and producing the country’s biggest stars since its inception.

Other Kapamilya celebrities were also honored during the celebration.

MEGA awarded Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and Iza Calzado, for their efforts to empower women through the group She Talks Asia.

James Reid was acknowledged for redefining the landscape of Filipino music by signing artists from all over the country through Careless Music Manila.

The #NewPH event, which was timed in celebration of Independence Day, recognizes individuals who promote pride and equality among the Filipino race.

Congratulations, Kapamilya!
