Pokwang is nominated for Best Actress in the 2019 Malaysian Golden Global Awards for her outstanding performance in "Oda sa Wala."
In an Instagram post, the actress expressed how happy she is with the nominations and recognition that she has received.
She said, "Matapos ang nominasyon at nagwagi sa QCinema bilang Best Actress, nominasyon pa rin sa FAMAS, Gawad Urian, ngayon naman po sa international na tayo baka sakaling masungkit na!
She continued, “To God be the glory! 🙏🏼❤️ Nominate lang ng nominate ‘wag mapagod! 😆🙏🏼"
"Oda sa Wala," which was produced by Black Sheep and Epic Media, premiered at the QCinema International Film Festival in 2018. The film also bagged the competition's top awards.
Meanwhile, Pokwang's co-star, Joonee Gamboa, was also named as one of the nominees for Best Supporting Actor. The film's director, Dwein Baltazar, was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography. The film is also vying for Best Picture.
The actress is a regular co-host in "Banana Sundae." She was also a part of various Star Cinema films, including the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "All You Need Is Pag-Ibig," and the romantic comedy film "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?" in 2014.
