Kisses Delavin has finally addressed her rumored split with her on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan.
In an Instagram post earlier today, June 16, the actress has put an end to the rumors by releasing an official statement. Their love team, better known as DonKiss to their loyal fans, has long been over according to Kisses.
"I apologize for my social media blackout. I believe that my supporters have the right to know that the DonKiss partnership has long been over," she revealed.
Kisses had to put up a statement because of an ongoing fandom war involving their DonKiss supporters and a fandom of another love team that involves Donny.
She explained, "There has been an ongoing plan from my DonKiss supporters to assemble at ABS-CBN today to appeal for this onscreen partnership. I was notified of this news because they, my DonKiss supporters, are encouraging my solid supporters to join their appeal."
"However, as much as I understand the bleeding hearts of my supporters, I am not in favor of this fandom war of my DonKiss supporters against the other ship of my former on-screen partner to go on any further. I shall not permit myself to be involved in the situation where two girls are being pitted against each other, a war they may not even want to be in, just to earn the 'victory' of being a guy's love team."
She ended her statement with a sweet note to everyone who has supported their team-up throughout.
"Thank you to everyone who fought by side with us in this journey. Thank you for the memories. It was good while it lasted."
Kisses and Donny have starred in a number of projects together including the barkada film "Walwal,” the fantasy-comedy “Fantastica,” and the morning series "Playhouse".
