Yup, Angelica Panganiban seems to be equally disappointed with sub-par boyfriends as you, and she’s taking a stand.
The actress told PEP in a recent interview that she is officially single and has no plans of tying herself to a man anytime soon.
She said, “Ayoko talaga, ayoko mag-boyfriend.”
Dating is of no issue, however, it’s just that nothing seems to stick. She explained, “Matagal na naman akong nakikipag-date, wala lang tumatagal. Bakit, trial and error ‘yun, eh? Nage-entertain naman ako, matagal na [pero] boyfriend? Parang hindi na ako interesado, hindi na kasi siya ang priority ng life ko.”
Now in her early 30’s, Angelica is a modern woman who has grown out of needing a relationship.
She revealed, “Parang natapos na rin ‘yung panahon na paggising mo, ang nasa isip mo, lalaki agad. Wala, hindi ko na hinahanap, hindi ko na kailangan.”
She is now in an era of enjoying her relationship with herself and discovering what truly makes her happy, “Pag na-discover mo kung ano talaga ang gusto mo, kung saan ka sasaya, doon papasok na hindi mo pala talaga kailangan ng ibang tao para lumigaya ka.”
When asked when she’ll be opening her heart again, she answered:
“Someday, but not soon. Ayoko talaga.”
Angelica topbilled the 2018 hit "Exes Baggage" directed by Dan Villegas and produced by ABS-CBN Films, Black Sheep. It was her reunion project with former on-screen partner and ex-boyfriend Carlo Aquino.
