“Quezon’s Game” has been making waves around the world, but it’s finally come home to the Philippines. The film held its first VIP screening last May 7, and it was attended by some of the biggest names in and around the industry.
Leads Raymond Bagatsing and Rachel Alejandro, together with cast members Paul Holme and Ben Avanceña, welcomed ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, Executive Adviser to Cinema Malou Santos, Star Cinema Head of Production Marizel Martinez, and Star Cinema Managing Director Olivia Lamasan to the event. ABS-CBN Chairman Emeritus Gabby Lopez III was in attendance, as were ABS-CBN Head of Integrated Marketing Nandy Villar and Former Philippine Ambassador Jesus Tambunting.
“Quezon’s Game” director Matthew Rosen attended with his family Dean Rosen and Lori Rosen, who is from Kinetek. Department of Education Asst. Secretary Alma Ruby Torio, former ABS-CBN Corporate Communications Head Bong Osorio, Head of Digital Content Publishing Richard Reynante, Content Head for iWant Ginny Ocampo, Mark Nepomuceno, Freddie M. Garcia, Undersecretary for Barangay Affairs – Department of the Interior and Local Government Martin Diño, “Quezon’s Game” producer Linggit Tan, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, and Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo were also present.
OPM legend Martin Nievera hosted the screening.
Last but not least, Filipino writer and adopted grandson of President Manuel L. Quezon, Manolo Quezon III also joined the festivities.

“Quezon’s Game” tells the little-known story of how President Quezon provided safe haven for thousands of Jews during World War II when the Nazi Regime was committing mass genocide all over Europe. It will hit cinemas nationwide this May 29.
