Nadine Lustre on Liza's withdrawal from 'Darna': 'We have to respect it'

It's been a crazy few days since Liza Soberano has withdrawn from the much-anticipated reboot of "Darna", and her fellow top leading lady Nadine Lustre is weighing in on everything with a sympathetic heart.

Nadine says she's known about Liza's hand injury since December last year when they worked together for the ABS-CBN Christmas Special.

"We were talking about it during the special, she showed me her finger. Well, it's her decision we have to respect it," she told MJ Felipe over the weekend.

She continued, "It would've been really nice to see her cause she was really into it na. Sayang [but] there's something bigger in store for her."

The Multimedia Princess is right in all accounts. Liza's manager Ogie Diaz has reported that after pulling out of "Darna", the actress will be taking on a new television series and a film with her on-screen partner and boyfriend Enrique Gil.

Nadine starred in the 2015 hit films "Para Sa Hopeless Romantic" and "Beauty and the Bestie" with Vice Ganda and Coco Martin. Liza, on the other hand, topbilled the Black Sheep-produced blockbuster hit "Alone/Together" which was directed by Antoinette Jadaone.
