Does Yam Concepcion regret her ‘sexy’ first roles?

Yam Concepcion has opened up about her regrets in taking on sexy roles early in her career.

The actress, who became a household name after her role in the beloved primetime series “Halik”, said in an interview in “Tonight With Boy Abunda” last April 22 that while she’s grateful for all the success she’s enjoying now, she’d rather not have to deal with the controversies around her earlier sexy roles.

“You know what, Tito Boy, this has always been an issue sa akin. Doon ako nanggaling – of course, dapat hindi mo rin kalimutan kung saan ka rin nanggaling. But, I don’t get it kung anong gusto niyong patunayan, kung anong gusto niyong maramdaman ko,” she said.

It’s not all bad, though. According to Yam, the situation has only pushed her to take her craft more seriously. It doesn’t mean, however, that she doesn’t have regrets.

She revealed, “That is why I’m working hard also to prove that that’s not only what I can do. Everything happens for a reason. I guess that’s part of my journey. I’ll be honest with you. Kung alam ko lang, Tito Boy, hindi ko na ginawa.”
