Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina has a knack for making her audiences cry with her heartbreaking family dramas.
In the past few years, CGM has given us what many consider to be one of her greatest trilogies, which began when internet favorite “Four Sisters and a Wedding” was released in 2013. It was followed by “Seven Sundays” in 2017, and then “Three Words to Forever” last year. Although it does not follow the same characters, it does explore the same theme: the strength of Filipino families (and how truly, hilariously difficult it is to be a family simply trying to love each other).
Although masterpieces from start to finish, it would be a sin not to admit that the confrontation scenes in these movies are the most iconic ever. And because we’re feeling especially generous today, we’ve compiled them all today for your enjoyment. You can watch them all here (you’re welcome):
“Four Sisters and a Wedding”
We’re all still so sorry, ma.
2. “Seven Sundays”
Just when you thought you could watch Enrique Gil looking like a kicked puppy, you realize...ang hirap pala talaga niyang panoorin.
3. “Three Words to Forever”
This is just a taste of the confrontation between leads Sharon Cuneta, Richard Gutierrez, and Kathryn Bernardo, but it’s so good it’s basically an acting masterclass.
