It is the first Star Cinema movie that’s internationally distributed, Bea Alonzo's first horror film, and Charo Santos' comeback to the horror scene. “Eerie” truly is an epic film.
"Eerie" is showing on March 27 in cinemas nationwide. But before we all get to watch one of Direk Mikhail Red's masterpiece, here are things that you must know about the suspense-thriller of 2019.
“Para siyang science vs. faith," Direk Mikhail revealed at the #ExperienceEerie event yesterday, March 2. "Si Pat (Bea) modern approach sa students. Si Sor Alice (Charo) traditional."
“May mga parts na Latin,” Direk Mik added.
To which Charo replied with, “Pina-memorize ako ng Latin verses."
She furthered, “I was drawn to the story. I was drawn to the character. He has a grasp of full language. Alam niya talaga lahat, eh. He knows his craft.”
Bea, meanwhile, shared one thing she discovered about their director.
"I was very impressed na may story board sa set. Yung way of shooting niya parang nagsisimula sa gitna na ng eksena. Eventually nasanay ako. Mas breeze pala ‘pag may storyboard,” she said.
Shot in only 20 days, Direk Mikhail said that they are confident about sharing something new to their audience.
"It’s a fusion of western and local. It’s something new also for the cast and Star Cinema. It’s something new even in terms of business model. Very urban legend,” he said.
