Director Mikhail Red knows exactly what he wants for "Eerie".
At the film's blog conference, yesterday, March 23, Direk Mik shared more details about making the script of the horror-thriller movie, which stars Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos.
“When I say horror, horror siya. Walang comedy. Hindi lang purely psychological, may physical, and super natural,” Direk Mik related. “Majority dito practical. The more real it looks, the more close to reality, the more feasible that something like that could happen."
He furthered, “I collaborate closely with my cousin. Usually siya nagbibigay sa’kin ng female perspective. Pero ang main writer nito si Mariah. So I worked with two female writers."
The story also revolves on mental health issues.
And just like Direk Mik, Bea and Charo wished for the local audience to appreciate the film just how it was received in the international scene.
“I’m looking forward for the Filipino audience to appreciate the movie just like the foreigners appreciated it in Singapore,” Charo said.
"Eerie" opens in cinemas nationwide this March 27.
