Liza Soberano is among those mourning the death of legendary Filipino comedian Chokoleit.
In a recent interview on "Magandang Buhay", Chokoleit's close friends K Brosas, Pooh, and Pokwang recalled the thoughtful message the "Alone/Together" actress sent when she caught wind of Chokoleit's passing. Her DM came even before the news sunk in for Pokwang, and was a gesture much appreciated by the trio.
Pokwang revealed, her voice cracking with emotion, "Si Liza, nag-direct message sa akin. Sabi niya, 'I know close sa'yo si Kuya Chokie, 'yung nangyari sa kanya...' ganyan. Nagko-condolence na sa'kin! Sabi ko 'Bakit? Teka muna? Sandali lang, baka... sana fake news'. Pero hindi eh, tumawag na si K, tumawag na si Angelica, tapos may text na sa akin ang Star Magic, sabi ko, totoo na 'to, hindi na 'to joke."
Chokoleit died of a heart attack last March 9. He was in Abra for a comedy set and even performed for more than 20 minutes before he was rushed to the hospital. He was 48.
