Bea Alonzo experiences another kind of 'Eerie' with Charo Santos

Bea Alonzo gets chills whenever she gets an appointment with one of ABS-CBN's big bosses Charo Santos-Concio.

In a special interview with the King of Talk Boy Abunda last night, March 13, Bea addressed Vice Ganda's jokes about Charo and her famous "principal's office" that sends shivers among Kapamilya stars.

"Ilang beses din [akong na-principal's office]," Bea related on "Tonight with Boy Abunda". "Dalawang beses at hindi ko makakalimutan 'yung pinaka-recent. Habang ginagawa ko 'yung "A Love to Last", hindi ko makakalimutan 'yung tinola sa opisina ni Ma'am Charo."

According to the actress, she almost emptied and ate everything out of tension.

"Pero hindi naman siya principal's office na pinagalitan ako," she recalled. "Parang marami lang siyang gustong i-suggest sa character ni Andeng na kailangan kong gawin."

Charo, meanwhile, clarified the infamous issue of her office and said that it’s her way to get to know her stars.

"I'm a teacher at heart," Charo stressed. "So those sessions I have with the talents are really more of coaching sessions."

For the veteran actress, to improve one's attitude, personality, and performance are the purpose of her their private talks.

"I talk to them about life. How to handle their pain, how pain can enrich someone. Both personally and professionally. That they should not stay in that feeling of pain and bitterness. In fact, learn transcend and use those painful moments positively.”

But Charo admitted that there were artists who walked out, cried buckets, and were called due to bad behavior.

"Just to remind them that they owe it to their audience to give their best. May katungkulan kami, eh. Minsan nagpapaalala lang ako to stay grounded. Everything is temporary so never ever forget to respect the audience who loves you,” she said.

Bea and Charo star in Mikhail Red's suspense-thriller movie "Eerie". Catch them on March 27 in cinemas nationwide.
