Proof that Ina Montecillo was the best President we never had!

The “Ang Tanging Ina” film series might have given us some of the funniest Ai-Ai Delas Alas movies we've had the pleasure of watching, but apparently, it also gave us the perfect example of what a good and effective leader looks like.

Twitter user Nicolas Antonio pointed this out in a thread called “WHY INA MONTECILLO WAS THE BEST PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES” posted yesterday, February 28. Drawing from the series’ second and third installments “Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat” and “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!)” to point out Ina’s best moments as the fictional President of the country.

Like how she was a champion of education:

She also served as the force that ended tensions between rebels and the Philippine military:

Let’s also not sleep on her kindness towards the poor and our farmers:

She was also ahead of the curve, accepting people of all genders and sexual orientations:

And she, of course, sat down and was humble, in the face of criticism:

Nicolas’ first tweet has garnered over 14 thousand likes and more than 5 thousand retweets, which tells you one thing: first, girls rule, second, we all deserve someone like Ina right now, jokes and silliness and all, in office. Tell us your thoughts in the comments section down below!

“Ang Tanging Ina” was released in 2003, and its two sequels were shown in cinemas in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Every film in the series was directed by the late Wenn Deramas.
