Maricel Soriano is proud to say that she will protect Vice Ganda, whom she considers as her own child, under any circumstances.
On her birthday special episode on "Magandang Buhay" earlier today, February 27, the Diamond Star emphasized that her love for the "Fantastica" star is beyond showbiz.
"'Pag siya (Vice Ganda) 'yung binanggit, nag-iiba ako. Nagiging defensive ako," Maricel related. "Sabi ko, 'O, bakit? Inaano ba sila ni Vice? Wala namang ginawa, 'di ba?' Parang to the rescue ako palagi."
Maricel also stressed how Vice continues to make her proud as time goes on.
Vice, meanwhile, also revealed how much he appreciated how Maricel never missed any of his special concerts and events.
She's happy for me. She becomes sad for me at times. She laughs with me. She cries with me. Mag-best friend kami at tsaka wala kaming itinatago sa isa't isa na parang totoong nanay."
Maricel and Vice both starred in "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy" released at the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Vice Ganda was named the Phenomenal Star of Philippine Cinema alongside his "Fantastica" co-stars Dingdong Dantes and Richard Gutierrez at the 50th Guillermo Mendoza Box Office Awards. The ceremony will be held this March.
