If there's any other day to drown in fashion-forward goodness, it's the night of the Oscars.
The glamour from the Academy Awards 2019 have hit the online world, and we haven't stopped liking and retweeting and making our opinions known. However, as star after gorgeous star came down on Hollywood's most important red carpet, we couldn't help but notice a few similarities from our favorite Oscar looks to the ones we adored at last year's ABS-CBN Ball. Below are side by side comparisons that you'll absolutely live for, because we know that if there's one thing none of us can resist, it's a good "who did it better?" moment.
Pretty in Pink:
Pink was a popular color on the Oscars red carpet this year and for our first order of business: a pink vs. pink battle between legendary Hollywood star Angela Basset and songstress Janella Salvador.
Dapper in Pink:
Here's yet another pink comparison, this time between the gorgeous "Aquaman" star Jason Momoa and local showbiz legend, "Halik" actor Jericho Rosales who both looked gorgeous in velvet coats.
Strong and Sexy:
Sue Ramirez and "Captain Marvel" Brie Larson had very similar yet very different looks: both of their gowns, from the cut to their necklines, showed off the strength and sexiness of their silhouettes.
"The General's Daughter" superstar Angel Locsin and "The Favourite's" Emma Stone both shimmered their way to the top in beautiful earth-toned gowns that are tailored to absolute perfection.
A Goddess in White:
Regina King and Maja Salvador both showed off their toned shoulders in white strapless gowns that were both classic and killer. Both gowns featured high slits for another touch of power, just in case we still didn't get it.
A Princess Moment:
"Playhouse" star Kisses Delavin and Gemma Chan both had princess moments in the red carpet. Although they wore very different gowns, they both gave us a fairytale, a big and pink and poufy one!
Pia Wurtzbach, who showed up looking bronzed and blonde for the ABS-CBN Ball, is going head-to-head with the original bronze queen Jennifer Lopez.
No Back, No Problem:
Kathryn Bernardo, who made a statement by looking like a "King's wife" (Daniel Padilla's words, not ours) in a white gown, shared a similar "business in the front, party in the back" backless moment with Charlize Theron.
Superstars Amy Adams and Sarah Geronimo, both amazingly talented women whose class precedes them, shared the same energy of understated glamour for the red carpets with neutral yet striking gowns.
All Laced Up:
Maymay Entrata and "Black Panther" star Letitia Wright both donned beautiful blush gowns with lace detailing and embroidery. Feminine and young, just like both of them!
A Naked Gown:
Liza Soberano and Leslie Bibb both wore skin-tight skin-tone gowns that showed off their trim and statuesque physiques.
The Classic Movie Star:
The Movie Queen Bea Alonzo and "A Star is Born" actress and international pop star Lady Gaga's gowns might look rather different at first sight, but both are trying to achieve a similar look: old Hollywood with a twist. Both gowns are callbacks to an older era where movie stars reigned and everything was glamour.
The Queens of Extra:
Vice Ganda and Billy Porter both stole the show for their respective carpets. Drawing inspiration from the MET Gala 2018 theme, Vice showed up for the ABS-CBN Ball in a cape designed after a church glass window. Billy, on the other hand, started a social media frenzy with his statement-making tuxedo dress.
