Ara Mina may have just confirmed Cristine Reyes’ separation from husband Ali Khatibi.
Rumors that Cristine’s marriage might be on the rocks began back in 2018. Cristine had unfollowed her husband on Instagram last May. A few months later, she dropped his last name on her social media accounts. She has yet to make a formal, public statement about their separation, but in an interview with PEP published this morning, February 15, Ara revealed that her sister is “still healing”.
She said, “Well, hindi naman ganun kadaling maka-recover. It will take a while. Parang ako, kailangan ko pang akyatin ang bundok bago maka-move on.”
According to Ara, Cristine and Ali are working hard to co-parent their daughter Amara.
“Hindi naman niya pinagbabawalan [si Ali na makita ‘yung bata.],” she explained.

Ara also denied claims that Cristine is officially “back on the market” telling reporters, “Hindi niya priority ‘yun.”
Another silver lining: Cristine, who apparently distanced herself from her family after she got married, has come back into the fold, spending more time with her sisters as she continues to move forward. They even recently went on a trip to Thailand to celebrate Cristine’s 30th birthday.
“Bumabalik siya sa pamilya namin. Kasi, understandable naman ‘yun na kapag nag-asawa ka, ‘yung priority mo, ‘yun. Pero dapat kasi, kahit may asawa ka na, nakakasama mo rin both sides ng family.’ Yun ang nawala. But it’s her decision na lumayo [after she got married]. It’s not us. Kumbaga, family pa rin sa bandang huli, kumbaga,” she revealed.
Cristine starred in the Cathy Garcia-Molina blockbuster hit "Seven Sundays", released back in 2017.
