Angel Locsin has entered Forbes’ annual Heroes of Philanthropy list for the Asia-Pacific region!
Earlier today, December 3, it was announced that the actress is among the chosen individuals who have been addressing the most pressing issues in the region.
Forbes noted that Angel donated over P1 million to the victims of the recent earthquakes that jolted parts of Mindanao in October, and even personally participated in relief efforts.
The actress has also given back more than P15 million over the last decade, most of which were allocated for scholarship grants, campaigns to advocate rights of indigenous people and to end violence against women and children, and to assist for victims of calamities, including those who were affected during the onslaught of Typhoon Ondoy in 2009, the monsoon rains in 2012, and Typhoon Yolanda in 2013. She has also given aid to displaced families following the Marawi siege last 2017.
Angel was last seen in the hit primetime drama series “The General’s Daughter,” which wrapped up this year.
Her latest movie outings were in the romantic comedy “The Third Party” and the comedy-drama “Everything About Her,” both of which premiered in 2016.
