It seems like nothing can stop Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber!
The year opened new opportunities for the pair which allowed them to grow more as artists. From their usual projects, such as movies and series, to international exposure, 2019 was truly wonderful for Mayward.
It was in late January when we all found out that Maymay was chosen as the cover girl for XPEDITION Middle East Magazine. Maymay ALSO got a nod from Vogue and was featured in the magazine.
They also released their new singles under Star Music. In April, they held their much-awaited "MayWard 0806" album launch which truly was a gleaming success.
Maymay also became a part of the film "Hello, Love, Goodbye" which was led by Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and shot entirely in Hong Kong, the movie broke records as the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.
The two also attended the 67th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences last April. There, Maymay was bestowed with her first FAMAS Award, the German Moreno Youth Award. Togethery, they received the Most Promising Love Team for Movies from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation during the 50th Box Office Entertainment Awards.
And of course, who would not forget Maymay and Edward's Spanish era-inspired outfits during the 2019 ABS-CBN Ball? Their looks at the event caught the attention of a lot of people: Esquire Thailand even featured the actor's guardia civil ‘fit, while Tyra Banks “approved” of the actress' elegant dress.
Maymay also got the chance to audition for the New York Fashion Week. Edward, on the other hand, was able to interview NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounpo.

October was a busy month for the pair. Their first major concert dubbed as "ME and U" was a success.
They also started hosting the Kumu online show "Star Hunt: The Global Showdown."
MayWard also delighted us with their cute "One Punch Man" costumes during the Star Magic Black Magic 2019 event.
Maymay and Edward marked their return to drama acting in November. Their appearance in the longest-running drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya" was among the top-rated episodes this year.
They also got the chance to explore Rome after becoming a part of "ASAP Natin 'To's" jam-packed show for Filipinos in Italy.
They closed the year with a bang: Twitter Philippines recognized both Maymay and Edward for being the most talked about celebrities for 2019, and that's all thanks to their loyal followers.
