'Eerie' ranks first in Harper Bazaar's Best Horror Movies of 2019 list

Mikhail Red's “Eerie,” which starred Charo Santos-Concio and Bea Alonzo, topped this year's list of Best Horror Movies by American magazine Harper's Bazaar.

In an article published in the women's fashion magazine last December 16, film critic Candice Frederick featured seven different horror films released this year with plots ranging from doppelgängers to bedeviled dresses. The Filipino horror-thriller stood out though, described as a movie “that have not only mastered the art of an effective jump scare, but also smartly uses the genre to challenge ideals of faith.”
