Angelica Panganiban opened up about her family’s terrible experience in Paris in a Twitter thread last night, November 7, after they were harassed by a taxi driver upon their arrival in the City of Lights.
Her older sister, her brother-in-law and niece were overcharged by a taxi driver who was supposed to take them to their hotel, located near the Eiffel Tower. Her family was unable to report the incident to authorities since they could not speak French.
According to the actress, the driver even hit her sister’s hand after she attempted to take his picture.
A Filipino named Leo Lim allegedly witnessed the entire scene and even helped the actress’ family translate to the driver.
Certain Filipinos have also extended their assistance to her family.
Angelica will star in the upcoming drama "Unbreakable," alongside Bea Alonzo and Richard Gutierrez. The film will hit theaters this November 27.
