After being spotted buying loads of relief goods in Davao City, Angel Locsin, together with her fiance Neil Arce, flew to North Cotabato to personally distribute aid among victims of the recent earthquakes that hit Mindanao.

In a video circulating online, Angel could be seen personally thanking volunteers who joined them in the relief efforts.

“Thank you sa lahat ng mga volunteers. Keep up the good work, guys!” the actress said.

Meanwhile, in a Twitter post, Philippine Red Cross chairman, Sen. Richard Gordon, expressed appreciation for the actress’s participation in their relief efforts.

He wrote, “ANGEL INDEED. Ms. Angel Locsin, together with her fiance, Neil Arce, personally went to our Davao del Sur Chapter to donate and volunteer in the distribution of relief goods and hygiene kits for the quake-hit families. Thank you, Angel, for trusting the Philippine Red Cross.”

Late last week, Angel first went to Davao City to buy half a million worth of loads of relief goods, including sacks of rice and other food items.

She has also used her powerful social media influence to raise awareness about the Mindanao quakes. Last Saturday, November 2, the actress took to Instagram to share a video of a resident of Makilala town, pleading for help from the national government following the devastation left by the recent strong tremors in their area.

Angel has always made it a point to participate in charity events: in 2013, she auctioned off her dream vintage car to raise funds for the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda, with proceeds amounting to a total of P1.8 million. In 2017, Angel went to ground zero in Marawi and visited families displaced by the months-long siege between government forces and the rebels.
