Moira gets nomination from MTV Europe Music Awards!

Moira dela Torre just got a nomination from the MTV Europe Music Awards!

Just last Tuesday, October 1, it was announced that the Kapamilya singer was among the list of nominees in the Southeast Asian Act category, joining other artists from the region.

Other nominees include Rich Brian from Indonesia, Yuna from Malaysia, Jasmine Sokko from Singapore, Jannine Weigel from Thailand, and Suboi from Vietnam.

The winner in the category will be chosen by netizens and will be revealed during an awarding ceremony in Spain on Novermber 3.

In a tweet the same day, the singer extended her gratitude for being honored in the international scene.

She wrote, “No way! Thank you so much, @MTVASIA!”

Moira first rose to fame after joining the first season of “The Voice of the Philippines” in 2014.

The showbiz industry has since opened its doors for her, allowing her to produce her own music, and to sing official theme songs for popular movies.

She created her own rendition of “Torete” for the 2017 romantic comedy flick “Love You to the Stars and Back,” “Kahit Maputi na Ang Buhok Ko” for the 2018 romantic drama movie “The Hows of Us,” and “Kung ‘Di Rin Lang Ikaw” with December Avenue for the 2019 blockbuster romantic drama picture “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

She recently concluded her successful first-ever dome concert last September 13. She also recently launched her first musical collaboration with the popular local band Ben&Ben titled "Paalam."
