IN PHOTOS: Scenes from the 15th Cinema One Originals Film Festival Grand Media Launch

Here are thr highlights from the grand media launch of the 15th Cinema One Originals Film Festival.

Cinema One Originals, which is among the country's biggest annual film festivals, has officially kicked off its 15th edition!

Earlier today, October 22, a grand media conference was held at the ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater to mark the launch of this year's festivities, with the theme "I am Original, Kaya Mo?"

True to its commitment to giving filmmakers the chance to fully express their visions, eight film entries, all of which with their distinct genres, were chosen and given a three million peso subsidy.

Among this year's entries are:


"Lucid," a movie which tackles the phenomenon of lucid dreaming, stars Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman, and is directed by Victor Villanueva.


"Metamorphosis” is a film about intersexuality, with Gold Aceron, Iana Bernardez, Ivan Padilla, Ricky Davao, and Yayo Aguila, under the helm of J.E. Tiglao.


A black comedy film, "O," which is led by Kevin Dayrit, is topbilled by Anna Luna, Sarah Carlos, Lauren Young, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.


A film that is described as an LGBT ghosting story, "Sila-Sila" is directed by Giancarlo Abrahan, and is topbilled by Gio Gahol and Topher Fabregas.


"Tayo Muna Habang Hindi Tayo" is a love story by Denise O Hara which stars JC Santos and Jane Oineza.


One of this year's horror entries, "Tia Madre" is Eve Baswel's debut film, and stars veteran actress Cherie Gil and Jana Agoncillo.


"Utopia," the debut film of Dustin Celestino which tackles issues in the country, is topbilled by Enzo Pineda, Vin Abrenica, and Aaron Villaflor.


Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is making her big screen comeback in "Yours Truly Shirley," which is helmed by Nigel Santos. Also with the Asia's Songbird in the feature film are Denise Padilla and Rayt Carreon.

This year's Cinema One Originals Film Festival will run from November 7 until 2017.
