Vice Ganda reveals he almost left 'It's Showtime' in 2010

Vice Ganda remains as one of the original hosts of “It’s Showtime,” but did you know that he almost left the show a few years back?

During the press conference for the noontime variety show’s tenth anniversary last Monday, September 30, the unkabogable star admitted that he almost left "It's Showtime" back in 2010.

“After the first season or after the first year, nagpaalam na ako. I felt so tired.

According to Vice, he spoke to the ABS-CBN management about leaving, but top executives refused to accept his resignation and instead, allowed him to take a hiatus from the show.

After going on a tour abroad during his break, that’s when Vice realized that he missed his newfound family, particularly his fellow host Anne Curtis. It was this sentiment that made him want to come back to the show.

Now that the show is celebrating its first decade on air, Vice pointed out how important “It’s Showtime” is for him, saying that he could never live a life without it.

Vice will be topbilling Star Cinema’s official entry to the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival in December, alongside Anne, Tony Labrusca, and Dimples Romana.
