EXCLUSIVE: Ronnie Alonte, sasailalim sa knee surgery

Other than acting and dancing, Ronnie Alonte lives for playing basketball.

It was mentioned in past reports that prior to showbiz, Ronnie met an accident that resulted in anterior cruciate ligament injury or ACL (instability of the knee and joint swelling).

"'Yung injury ko, eh, parang 'yung sa mga rugby players. 'Yung nakukuha sa sadyang banggaan talaga," he related. "So anytime, pwede siyang bumigay nang malala talaga."

At the thanksgiving dinner with the "Fantastica" cast yesterday, January 29, the young actor gave an update regarding his knee injury  (https://starcinema.abs-cbn.com/2018/11/20/news/knee-injury-ni-ronnie-namaga-at-masakit-after-b-45398).

"May plano sa akin na ooperahan na tuhod ko this Thursday. Sana maka-recover ako agad. At least sana makalakad ako," he shared. "Dahil kung hindi, baka mag-Valentine's Day kami ni Loisa (Andalio) sa ospital. Kasi nagti-therapy ako niyan."

Hoping for a successful operation for you, Ronnie!

In case you missed it, Ronnie portrayed Paul Desiderio of the UP Fighting Maroons Men's Basketball Team in an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" last January 19 (https://starcinema.abs-cbn.com/2019/1/18/news/ronnie-alonte-muling-sasabak-sa-drama-with-loisa-46807).

He also starred in several Star Cinema movies such as "Vince and Kath and James", "Bloody Crayons", and "Fantastica".
