It's a brave new world as big-name celebrities like Vice Ganda, Alex Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Maris Racal, Judy Ann Santos, and Elisse Joson, embrace the wonders of the digital age, lifting the veil for us to enter their lives behind the screen.
Vlogs. It has become a national guilty pleasure. Watching celebrities go outside of their comfort zones and share random and relatable moments from their "non-showbiz" lives in their Youtube channels? There's nothing better. From how and where they spend their much-deserved pahinga days to major inspo vibes, must-try recipes, and beauty routines, these artistas-turned-vloggers have managed to serve us a different (and welcome) kind of entertainment.
Here are some vloggers who’ll inspire you to live your life to the fullest this 2019!
TRAVEL VLOGS
1. Vice Ganda
Vice Ganda has been on Youtube for four years and has gained half a million subscribers and almost 27 million views as of writing. Always serving us with major #TravelGoals, he recently shared parts of his Hong Kong trip, together with members of the Hashtags, last December.
Another highlight? We witnessed just how good of a son he is to Mommy Rosario Viceral as he vlogged his way through their Boracay vacay just before 2018 ended.
2. Bea Alonzo
By Bea is another channel which focuses on the joys of traveling. After joining Youtube last June, this generation’s Movie Queen served us with glimpses of her adventures in Vancouver, where she shot the Paul Soriano romantic drama "First Love" with legendary actor Aga Muhlach.
3. Kim Chiu
The Chinita Princess fills her Youtube channel with footage from her #KIMadvenCHIUREs, putting the spotlight on the best travel destinations in the Philippines and all over the world. The best part? We get glimpses of her kilig-inducing relationship with boyfriend Xian Lim.
LIFESTYLE (AND KALOKOHAN) VLOGS:
1. Alex Gonzaga
Now on her way to three million subscribers, Alex redefined what it meant to be a celebrity vlogger and paved the way for her showbiz contemporaries to see Youtube as a good place to be their true selves. Nowadays, she's known for her "laugh until you cry" comedy content and, of course, the iconic vlogs which shed light on the previously rather enigmatic Gonzaga family.
Her hard work paid off: last August, she was awarded Google's Gold Play Button.
Another win: her music video for her original song "Chambe" has gained 12 million views!
2. Robi Domingo
MYX VJ Robi has served us with very special behind-the-scenes moments from some of his TV shows such as "ASAP Natin 'To" and "Pinoy Big Brother OTSO".
3. Kristel Fulgar
Kristel showed us the best of Korea in her vlogs. A definite must-watch: her vlog about learning Hangeul!
4. Elisse Joson
The "Sakaling Maging Tayo" star has shared her exclusive beauty routines on her channel. She's since branched out of beauty content. With more than 150,000 subscribers to date, Elisse also took on the ukay-ukay challenge in her recent vlog.
5. Hashtags member Ryle Tan
From his Momoland experience to doing song covers with his family, to travel escapades with his co-Hashtags members, Ryle's "ang kuleeeet" side is always front and center on his videos.
FOOD VLOGS:
1. Judy Ann Santos
If you want to learn how to cook and eat right, Judy Ann's channel is the perfect fit for you. Always the queen of the kitchen, the legendary actress has shared her secret recipes on the best Baby Back Ribs you'll ever put in your mouth, Chicken Waldorf Salad, Leche Flan, and more. If there's anyone who knows exactly how to make us all hungry during our 3 am vlog binges, it's her.
INSPIRATIONAL AND MUSIC VLOGS:
