The force of action is definitely strong within the Revillas.
The iconic roles and movies of Bong Revilla and his father, Ramon Revilla Sr., have rightfully placed their marks in the proliferation of action films in the country. And this 2018, continuing their legacy is the 3rd generation of Revillas -- Bong's very own sons Jolo, Bryan, and Luigi.
"Tres," which stars the Revilla brothers, apart from its action-packed nature, is also a film that tackles societal issues, specifically the drug situation in our country.
In a press conference for the movie attended by Jolo on Tuesday, September 4, he said: "This film, it was his (Bong) idea. Kumbaga, ginawa namin 'to ng para sa kanya at higit sa lahat, para sa mamamayang Pilipino."
The Revilla patriarch may have paved the way for their undeniable name recall in the film industry, and Jolo acknowledges that, but he and his brothers are ready to make their own stamps.
"'Yung pinakamahalagang naibigay niya (Bong) sa amin, eh 'yung pangalan niya. Kumbaga 'yung royalty," he said.
Humble as he is, Jolo also admits that there is pressure to continue what his father and grandfather have already started.
He explained, "Oo naman [may pressure]. Hindi lang dahil sa Dad ko, siyempre pati na rin sa Lolo ko. Dahil legend na, kumbaga, 'yung Lolo ko pagdating sa action films. Kumbaga kailangan [naming] ipakita kung ano 'yung pinanggalingan ng lahi namin bilang isang Revilla."
