The moment Aga realized 'I would love to work with Bea'

Aga Muhlach hasn't been a leading man for quite some time, but in his return to the romantic genre in Paul Soriano's latest film "First Love", Aga chose Movie Queen Bea Alonzo as the woman he'll fall in love with on the big screen.

In a recent interview, the legendary actor sang praises for his co-star. "I [chose] right. Bea is kumbaga pwede mong sabihin na purist siya talaga. Artista siya. She loves her craft, she loves to act, she loves movies, and 'yun din ang hilig ko," he said.

He continued, "So we worked together and it was just nice. She knew what to do. Ang galing niya."

According to Aga, he noticed Bea's talent as an actress after watching her films' trailers. He revealed, "Kasi I would see her trailers sa movies and I was like, ‘Wow,’ sabi ko, ‘I would love to work with her.’ And then I called her one time out of the blue sabi ko, ‘Bea, I have this project. Would you want to do it?’ and she said yes and then the rest is history."

"First Love", a joint production of ABS-CBN Films, Star Cinema, Viva Films, and Ten17P, was shot entirely in Vancouver, Canada. Joining Aga and Bea are "Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7" alum Edward Barber, Albie Casino, G Tongi, and veteran actress Sandy Andolong.

This will be Aga's second film since breaking his seven-year movie hiatus. He starred in Cathy Garcia-Molina's family comedy-drama "Seven Sundays" last year.
