Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla really had the experience of their lives when they starred in “Barcelona: A Love Untold” two years ago, which was directed by legendary filmmaker Inang Olivia M. Lamasan.
In an exclusive interview with us, KathNiel shared that they consider “Barcelona” as their version of a master’s degree for actors.
“Ibang level ‘yung ‘Barcelona,’ ibang level ng pagiging professional ‘yun… Parang exam mo ‘yun tapos senior prof mo si Inang… Tapos first time mo pumasa sa exam,” Daniel related.
Kathryn furthered that they applied everything they learned from the film in all their next projects.
“Iba ‘yung learning experience. May nakuha kaming mga aral na na-apply namin sa ‘La Luna [Sangre],’ sa ‘Can’t Help [Falling in Love],’ siyempre dito (‘The Hows of Us’). Iba magturo si Inang,” she said.
The box office actor added that they became better people because of Inang.
“‘Yun talaga ‘yung may madadala ako… hindi lang in terms of acting. Kung paano ka rin sa set, paano ka rin bilang tao. Si Inang, ang pinakagusto niya, ‘yung pagpapakumbaba, ‘yung humble ka lang lagi. Hindi naman mapipilit ‘yun, pero makukuha mo ‘yun sa tamang pag-iisip at kung totoo ‘yung nararamdaman mo,” he said. “Ang galing talaga ng ‘Barcelona.’”
