Puerto Rican by birth but Filipino by heart, Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres is dubbed the dancing queen of "ASAP" stage, the longest running musical show in the country since 1994.
Almost six feet tall, the well-loved beauty queen-turned-host-actress melted thousands of hearts every time she gave off her signature sparkling smiles perfectly matched by her eyes that are as dazzling as the ocean on a sunny day.
Dayanara was also cast in several movies from romantic-comedy "Basta't Kasama Kita" with Aga Muhlach, to action-romance in "Type Kita, Walang Kokontra" with Cesar Montano.
Nonetheless, her coming-of-age musical debut Filipino film, "Hataw Na", which celebrated its 23rd anniversary last March, showcased the reasons why there's more to her than just being Miss Universe 1993.
She blessed us with her acting skills, not to mention her charisma on the dance floor in which she was joined by equally talented performers such as Gary Valenciano, Jao Mapa, Victor Neri, Roselle Nava, Lindsay Custodio, Jolina Magdangal, and more.
Meanwhile, now at 43, Dayanara truly remains a personification of eternal beauty. Check the photos above to be updated of her whereabouts after her acting stint in the local biz several years ago.
