It's always great to be positive. It's light, it's contagious, and it's beautiful. It's no wonder then that it's something worth celebrating, so much so that a day was dedicated in its glory!
So in celebration of Positive Thinking Day, September 13, we asked Enrique Gil, Dimples Romana, Jake Cuenca, Empoy Marquez, JC De Vera, Kit Thompson, Jameson Blake, Darren Espanto, and Piolo Pascual on the "mantra" they carry to keep the positivity.
"I am the most positive guy in the whole world," shared Enrique in an exclusive chat with us. "Kahit anong malaking problema, it'll pass. 'Yung iba iniiyak nila, sa akin, 'okay lang 'yan, wag ka nang umiyak'".
Enrique also said that he always chooses to see the brighter side to avoid feeling depressed.
Just like what his "Bagani" co-star Dimples Romana believes in, "Always respond with kindness," she said. "No matter how difficult times may be, we should never take anything personally."
Jameson, meanwhile, has a different way to cope: "I just breathe, I tend to relax myself. I'm not trying to be mayabang, pero I always think na 'I'm above them all. The reason why they're saying negativity is because they're behind me." With that kind of mindset, Jameson realized that it keeps him going.
Meanwhile, JC De Vera, Jake Cuenca, Kit Thompson, and Empoy Marquez, they choose to go back to their purpose.
"I always tell myself, 'go hard, or go home'," JC related to us, also in an exclusive chat. "Once na lumabas ako ng bahay, kailangan ready to work ako. Hindi pwedeng half-baked lahat."
In a different interview, "Panday" actor Jake said, "Lagi kong sinasabi, lalo nang ganito ka-busy ang schedule ko, 'pag gusto maraming paraan, 'pag ayaw maraming dahilan. Ginusto ko 'to, kaya gawin natin ng mabuti. That's my mantra."
"Kusina Kings" star Empoy remains grounded and that helps him stay positive.
"Kailangan looking backward kung saan ka nanggaling para hindi mo isiping artista ka," he relate in an exclusive chat as well. "Kasi kapag inisip mo kung sino ka dati, maiisip mo na dapat mong pahalagahan 'yung ngayon."
Kit Thompson, meanwhile, is all for living in the moment in order to appreciate everything and stay grateful as much as possible.
As for the "The Hows of Us" actor Darren Espanto, he listens to Jessie J's "Who You Are" every time he feels low.
And last but not the least is Piolo Pascual, who shared his everyday mantra: "You pray to God. Nothing is impossible to God. You can't be in the pit forever. You have to rise up."
