Jackie Chan encountered real-life drama when he and his crew got stuck in a mudslide while shooting for his upcoming movie “Project X.”
The action star shared the details on his Weibo (http://jackiechan.com/blog/2018/08/06/mudslide/) account last August 6.
“We started shooting on location when the weather suddenly changed and our crew were caught in a massive mudslide! A few of our production trucks were stuck in the river of rushing mud,” he wrote. “Many of the crew became frightened because it was so sudden. Luckily, some large hook trucks come to our rescue and helped tow our production trucks to safety.”
Jackie continued that he wants to say both “thank you” and “sorry” to everyone who got involved in the accident.
“A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all the people who came to help us, and also sorry’ to all the crew members who were frightened by the mudslide,” he said, adding that his production team will learn from the incident.
“[We will] be more alert to the weather conditions, do our best to protect our crew members and ensure that working conditions are absolutely safe. Thanks to everyone for your hard work!” he said.
Jackie starred in the hit action-fantasy movie “Kung Fu Yoga” last year.
