Pagkatapos maaresto, CJ Ramos, gusto nang magbagong-buhay

He received a series of nominations for his performance in the film "Tanging Yaman" and scored the Young Critics Circle Award for Best Male Performance in 2000.

Former "Ang TV" star CJ Ramos made it to the headlines after eight years when he was arrested for the act of buying illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, last July 31.

In a tell-all interview with Korina Sanchez on "Rated K" yesterday, August 5, CJ, born as Cromwell John "Ceejay" Ramos, broke his silence on how and why he got himself involved in substance abuse.

His P100 million savings intended for his education came to nothing after he was double-crossed by his loaner.

CJ, who was not used to the situation, started to feel depressed that eventually led him to taking drugs.

"First time ko po nakaramdam ng hirap na ganun, eh.

His addiction eventually ended his job as an actor.

However, there was a point in his life where he decided to stop for the sake of his parents and his child, who he hasn't been talking to for a very long time now.

CJ started to redeem himself by studying and working abroad yet unfortunately, luck wasn't on his side.

"Dapat nga pupunta siya sa Macau, eh, hindi natuloy," shared his father in the same interview.

And when asked about his plans as soon as he gets his freedom back, with tears in his eyes, CJ said, "Kung ano pong ibigay sa akin ni God.

CJ also admitted that he is not yet ready to father his child but in all sincerity, he's more than willing to start a drug-free life as soon as life permits him.

He is under the custody of Caloocan City Jail as of this writing.
