Sharon Cuneta encouraged everyone to be more appreciative rather than pulling someone down.
On her recent Instagram post, the Megastar expressed her thoughts addressing those who downgrade fellow actress Kris Aquino on her short appearance in the international film, "Crazy Rich Asians."
"Sadly, it is very Pinoy to have what is known as 'crab mentality,' you know - 'Kundi ako ang successful sisiraan kita dahil sa inggit!'" she wrote.
Sharon emphasized that Filipinos should focus on the fact that another Filipino actress had made it to Hollywood.
She further added, "Guys, when one of us has the blessing of being chosen among hundreds to become part of a Hollywood movie - especially from a major studio and based on a best-selling book, WE SHOULD BE HAPPY. PROUD."
She also did mention Tony award winner Lea Salonga to remind people how her international career opened doors for Filipinos and other Asians in Broadway.
"A short but important exposure in a film like this should’ve made us all root for Kris," she wrote.
Sharon starred in "Unexpectedly Yours" with Robin Padilla, Julia Barretto, and Joshua Garcia last November and is expected to star in a Cathy Garci-Molina film with Richard Gomez and Kathryn Bernardo in "Three Words to Forever" soon.
