Kit Thompson became a household name in 2014, after back-to-back performances in the independent film “#Y,” and the LizQuen primetime series “Forevermore.”
With this raw talent, everyone was looking forward to what he’d do next. But then he disappeared without a word, and came back four years later with a stint in the Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla-led drama film “The Hows of Us.”
At the movie’s media day last August 22, the returning actor shared that he took a break from showbiz to study acting in New York and Los Angeles.
“Noon very minimal ang knowledge ko on acting, and after studying abroad, I feel like mas naging passionate ako sa ginagawa ko… dati din bano ako umarte so I think that’s improved,” he said with a laugh.
Kit furthered that “The Hows of Us” is the perfect comeback project for him, especially because of director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
“I love Direk Cathy and I trust her… Magandang experience din ‘yung working with Daniel and Kathryn,” he said.
Kit has an independent film, digital series, and soap opera lined up for him this year, and with his permanent return to showbiz, he wants to experience working in a variety of projects as much as possible.
“Gusto ko mag-action… mainstream man ‘yan, indie, kahit ano. I just want to work,” he enthused.
We’ll be sure to watch every single one of your projects, Kit!
