Kathryn & Daniel Everyday: The origins of 'bal' and 'tangi'

Have you ever wondered about the origins of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's pet names?

Of course, as we all know by now being true stans, this beautiful on-and-off-screen couple call each other "bal" and "tangi". Fun fact: way back when, they also called each other "baba". Today, in celebration of Buwan ng Wika, we did a little digging on these three pet names to get to the bottom of their true meanings and Filipino origins.

1. "Bal"

2. "Tangi"

3. "Baba"

It seems as though Kathryn and Daniel have abandoned "baba" back in 2014, preferring the use of the other two pet names above. If you think about it, we've been hearing "bal" less and less too! But there's no need to worry, we're sure these two will have plenty more pet names for each other in the future (and we can't wait to know them all!)
